REFUND POLICY
1. The 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EU Regulations)
In accordance with European Union consumer protection laws, you have the right to cancel your online purchase and request a return within 14 days from the day you (or a third party designated by you) physically receive or pick up your order, without giving any reason.
To meet the 14-day deadline, you simply need to notify us of your decision to return the item before the withdrawal period expires.
2. Condition of Items for a Refund
Because candles are consumable items, we can only accept returns and issue refunds if the product is in its original, resaleable condition:

The candle must be completely unlit and unused.

The wick must not be trimmed or altered.

The candle must be in its original packaging, undamaged.
We reserve the right to refuse a refund or reduce the refund amount if the candle shows signs of use, burning, or damage caused by improper handling after delivery.
3. Damaged, Broken, or Incorrect Items
Wax and glass are fragile, and we take extreme care when packing our products. However, if your order arrives damaged or broken during transit via courier, or if you received the wrong item:

Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the package.

Send an email to our support address below with your order number and clear photographic proof of the damaged item and packaging.

Once verified, we will arrange a replacement to be sent out immediately or issue a full refund, including any original shipping fees. You will not be responsible for the return costs of a damaged item.
4. How to Initiate a Return
If you wish to return an item under the 14-day change-of-mind rule, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Contact us via email at our support address below, stating your order number and the items you wish to return. Alternatively, use the standard withdrawal options available in your customer account area.

Step 2: Securely pack the unlit candle in its original box to ensure it doesn't break on its way back to us.

Step 3: Return the package via courier or, if your order was originally a personal handover, reach out to coordinate a return drop-off.
5. Return Shipping Costs

Change of Mind: If you are returning an item because you changed your mind, you will be responsible for paying the direct costs of returning the item to us via courier.

Damaged/Defective Items: If the return is due to our error or transit damage, Smelling Peace will cover all costs associated with the return or replacement.
6. Refund Processing Time
Once we receive your returned item and inspect its condition, we will send you an email notifying you that we have received it.
If approved, your refund will be processed immediately. The money will automatically be applied back to your original method of payment (e.g., the credit card or PayPal account used at checkout). Please allow up to 14 days from the date we receive your return for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank's processing times.
Please note: Original shipping costs are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
